Antique Victorian 14K Oval Ceylon Sapphire Ruby Mine Diamond Ring GIA NO HEAT
An exceptional late Victorian ring hand wrought in 14K yellow gold, adorned with original blue enameling and centered by an approximately 10.50ct no heat oval cut Ceylon sapphire. The center stone is a beautiful cornflower blue and exceptionally clear. Surrounding the center is approximately 1ctw in H-J color Vs1-2 clarity oldmine cut diamonds as well as 2.50ctw in natural red rubies that we feel safe to assume are Burmese in origin and without treatment due to its age. An absolutely stunning ring, but also an exceptional example of the Victorian era and a lovely part of jewelry history. The sale of this ring is accompanied by the original GIA laboratory report.
This ring measures 1.10” top to bottom and .95” wide. It weighs 13g and is a size 8 (sizable).
All stones have been examined and are secure and original to the piece. There is some minor abrasion and nicks on the rubies, but nothing offensive or obvious. There is extremely minor enamel loss on the side of the shank. Exceptional condition considering its age.
